I was born 1974 in Belgrade, Serbia. My first contact with piano and music, in general, occurred at the age of 6. During education I won many prizes and awards on national and international competitions. I graduated at Music Academy in Belgrade, class '93. I have played many recitals, including, my favorite experiences, performances at the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, Jazz fest and in hotel Belgrade Intercontinental...
During thirteen years of successful career, pedagogical work with students, my observations are that the traditional approach to music is definitely not adapted to the children of new age, because they already have access to a plenty of information at early age. Every time has its challenges, especially this era of communications, where things are moving so fast, improving so dramatically.
Namely, I am in those percent of people who dedicated their lives to music. But let’s get back to real world...
Besides the fact that not everyone is in a mood for practicing scales for long hours on a daily basis, or playing hard and demanding classical pieces, people want to learn things which can implement in real life activities, related to music.
For that approach, music schools unfortunately have no answer or remedy. Worse, classical music school can even make confusion in mind of a man who wants to play pop, evergreen, jazz, rock, Latin music.
I learned it harder way because all other genres of music I studied by myself, from books, other musicians, TV, radio, courses, playing by ear, trying at home to produce something that would be similar to those on the recording.
I want to invite you to use your potential and talents to the maximum extent and to use the amenities which modern world generously offers to us, and the most valuable among them - access to internet, endless treasure of knowledge.
Internet brings to us an opportunity to share valuable knowledge and information among people within a blink of eye.
Let's use this advantage, let's move the boundaries together!
